GIVING TANKS AND SAYING THANKS
According to the San Diego Tribune, “Gasoline prices in the San Diego area are keeping their stubborn march upward, with The Automobile Club of Southern California reporting that the price for a gallon of regular at local station… averaged $4.66, which is just six cents shy of the all-time record.”
Well, that’s not very helpful, is it? With Thanksgiving, holiday travel, and the hope to save a little money overall – we thought to ourselves, “We can help with that.”
Throughout the month of November, we helped by giving tanks, and you responded by saying, “Thanks!”
We sent our Helpful Honda Guys to local gas stations across San Diego County – with stops in San Diego, Chula Vista, Carlsbad and Vista – to surprise lucky Honda drivers with FREE GAS. Yep, you read that right – FREE GAS. One lucky driver in Vista shared, “Honda has been doing it big in San Diego! Thank you to everyone at the gas pumps! You’re all amazing!” We helped hundreds of Honda drivers with hundreds of gallons of gas for their cars and we are so happy to help you save some money at the pumps. “Thank you all, honestly. Gas is not getting any cheaper!”
Veterans were also thanked at the pumps with free gas, regardless of what type of vehicle they drove. It’s just one way we would express our gratitude for all they have done for our country. “Thank you, Honda, for this. We really appreciate what you do.”
Our Helpful Holiday season is approaching and we’ve got a few things planned. We’ll be serving warm holiday meals to families at the San Diego Rescue Mission, and with a little help from our friends at Heaven’s Windows, we’ll be surprising over 100 kids with Christmas gifts, too!
