A HOLIDAY FULL OF HELPFULNESS

This past holiday season, we did what we do best: brought Random Acts of Helpfulness to residents all over San Diego County. From free trees, gifts, toys, holiday meals, and more – we were happy to spread holiday cheer to people, families, and kids in need.

Those who followed us on Facebook got the inside scoop on where to find us when we made a stop at Tom’s Adventures Pumpkin Patch and Christmas Trees in Vista to surprise unsuspecting families with a free Christmas Tree! Holidays are already expensive as is, let alone being able to afford to bring some décor to ones home, so we decided to help with $100 toward the purchase of many peoples’ trees – which for many, meant their tree was completely free. “This is awfully generous. Like, wow! $100? Are you serious? For random families that don’t even own Hondas, too?” We’re happy to help!

We also brought some help to those individuals and families experiencing homelessness and stopped by to help our friends at Father Joe’s in San Diego serve meals for over one hundred of their clients. “It’s so nice of you to be here, thank you. How cool of Honda to come volunteer!” In addition to meals, we provided every single person with a warm blanket, gloves, beanies, and socks to help them stay warm during the cold days and nights.” Thank you for the generous donation. We hope you come back!” To learn more about how you can help, make sure to check out Father Joe’s for more information, and maybe you’ll see us the next time we stop by to volunteer.

The Arc of San Diego supports and empowers people to achieve their life goals and are the premiere provider of services to persons with disabilities. To make their holidays a little more special, we sent our Helpful Honda Guys with over one hundred toys, bikes, stuffed animals, games and more, to surprise their clients and their kids with Christmas toys! “This is so nice of Honda! Wow, I can’t believe it!” Some families were especially appreciative of the extra help, since having extra money to spend on gifts has been difficult for many this year. “We’re raising our granddaughter and it’s not easy. Every little bit of things like this helps us out. Thank you.” Make sure to visit the Arc of San Diego to learn more about how you can donate or volunteer – and again, you just might see us there!

A local San Diego resident, Marco, wrote in to ask us for help for his family. With difficulties in being able to afford rent, or even food, gifts were going to be especially hard to provide for his four kids this holiday. So, we came to help. We brought the whole family special surprises: gift cards to help with groceries, clothes, necessities – and a few fun things, too, like soccer balls, ear buds, toys, and more – we were happy to help bring them some holiday cheer.

What’s next for us? More Random Acts of Helpfulness! We’re looking to help give back to those that are helpful in their own community. Know anyone? Reach out to us at SDHondaDealers.com/help to submit their story, and they just may get a surprise visit from our Helpful Honda Guys in Blue.
