A Very Spook-tacular Hondaween!

We’re back and the helpfulness just keeps coming! This past October, we brought some special events and surprises to residents all over San Diego County – from El Cajon, to Escondido, Chula Vista, Poway, Vista, and La Mesa – in the ways of FREE PUMPKINS at local patches and some extra, magical fun, to clients of The Well and residents of Villa De Vida!

The Well, located in La Mesa in San Diego County, is an encouraging community for ALL women featuring: workspace, support groups, fitness classes, networking, an inclusive kid’s program as well as scholarships for women from local nonprofits. Over 40 families attended and enjoyed in our Hondaween festivities including: pumpkin decorating, a costume contest, arts & crafts, and even a special puppet show! Families and their kids were so elated, sharing, “You are all amazing people. What a wonderful morning you’ve given everyone here! All the kids are loving this, thank you guys for the gesture! We can’t thank you enough!” To find out more about The Well, visit: https://twcfw.org/

Next up, we headed to Poway, to celebrate a special Hondaween event with the clients of Villa de Vida, an organization that serves adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Everyone had fun with the dancing, costume contest, pumpkin decorating, and with taking pictures! Guests shared, “Welcome Honda people, we heard about your assistance to Villa de Vida, you are all so generous! Please thank everyone involved for making this event possible!” To learn more about Villa de Vida, or to find ways to help, visit: https://villadevida.org

What about the rest of San Diego County? We brought help to you, too. We invited residents to meet us at Farm Stand West in Escondido, Summers Past Farms in El Cajon, and Tom’s Adventures Pumpkin Patch in Vista and Chula Vista – to carve out a few savings in their wallets. We surprised hundreds of people with free pumpkins! Whether they would carve them, decorate them, cook them, or enjoy some roasted pumpkin seeds, everyone was so happy to see us at the patch! An enthusiastic Honda driver shared, “I always knew my Honda was awesome! Thank you guys for being here!” Another guest shared, “I know of the Helpful Honda people but I would have never imagined to meet you in person … and get helped!”
